She's enjoying the music puzzle from the Caruana's... she hasn't figured out that the pieces go back into the holes they came from, but that will come with practice :)
Daddy, Mommy, & Zoe went to Hessel Park after daddy got off from work Thursday and that was a lot of fun! We stayed there for a long time, which seemed to have led to our demise for the next few days- because Zoe got a cold :( It was a doosey. She had a runny nose and a cough and she was having a terrible time breathing, so obviously sleeping was a problem. We elevated her mattress and after a night and a half with very little sleep, we broke down and gave her some decongestant, which really helped her get some rest, which really seemed to make her feel much better (and get over the cold faster, I would imagine). Unfortunately we had to miss our UIUC Play Group yesterday, but that's the way it goes.
Grandpa Green decided to make a surprise visit which helped take Zoe's mind off of being sick :)
Although the weather has gotten really cold and yucky again, we found a moment to take a short wagon ride! That was cool- with no straps to constrict her, she was a very happy passenger.
UIUC's Vet School had an open house, so here's Zoe petting a real hedgehog! She loved the horses, zebra, rabbits, greyhounds, and birds (amongst other things). It was really stinky there, though! (can you say "MANUER"?! YUCK!!!)
It's almost her 1st birthday, which is hard to believe- but we have some fun things planned for her big day, so I'll be sure to fill you in on that once they're all set & done & I have a free moment again! :)
