A Note from Zoe

I'm a quick study with this whole walking business...
I do love my little red car! By the way, Mom & Dad
took me to the park today
(YES- ON DECEMBER 30th in URBANA!)
and we did some family photos... it was fun!
Check out my picture website to see what we
got out of it. I really should get back to bed now....
if only these new teeth of mine weren't keeping me up...

XO,
Zoe

There really are teeth in there!

Zoe has finally begun cutting her first tooth. I noticed it as she was gnawing on my thumb about two days ago :) She seems to be handling it pretty well- she just REALLY wants to chew on everything. If we leave one of Roxy's cheweez within Zoe's grasp, she snags it up and chews away (EWWW!) so that's just one of the 'babyproofing' steps I'm having to take these days.

Zoe got a great new toy from Grandma & Grandpa Green for Christmas- it's a Fisher Price "Stride-to-Ride" walker toy that looks like a car. It's SO CUTE and she LOVES it. For those of you with your own little ones, this is HIGHLY recommended. She's still getting the hang of it, and she gets freaked out when it moves before she's ready for it to move, but she's putting in a lot of practice with it so I'm sure she'll be a pro in no time.

She's also becoming quite the pro at the 'pincer' grasp and eating small snacks. She loves the Gerber Graduates "Puff" snacks. She got sweet potato ones and banana ones from Aunt Meghan for Christmas and they were such a hit that I picked up the strawberry apple ones today. They 'melt in the mouth' much better than cheerios, but she still gets those sometimes too. Other finger foods on the menu so far are cooked peas and tidbits of cooked carrots as well as cheese. If you have ideas/suggestions, let us know :) All I know is that she's less and less interested in the jarred foods and more and more interested in the 'real' solid stuff, so I gotta get to work figuring out how to feed her more things!

Zoe's other gifts included some AWESOME clothing and other great toys, too... I can't even list it all... but I guarantee you all that she is really enjoying all of it! I will be sure to post pics of her new outfits as I get them... she wore one already and I forgot to get pics that day! But you know how we are with pics... they'll come in big spurts and you'll get to see all her garb eventually :)

Welcome to our new Blog

Hey there!

We're going to give this a shot... no guarantees on the frequency of posts, but it's our goal to use this to keep ya posted on what's happenin' with the Halls... these days the phrase "Chew on this" has taken on all new meaning... between the baby and the dog it's hard tellin' who wants to chew more.

Y Happy New Year!!! Y
